La eficacia jurídica del derecho a la movilidad de las personas con discapacidad en Guayaquil

This study addresses the issue of accessibility in public transportation for people with disabilities in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The research objective is to evaluate the factors affecting the legal effectiveness of the right to mobility for people with disabilities in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. The research highlights the barriers faced by these individuals, including inadequate infrastructure, lack of staff training, and limited community awareness, which negatively impact their quality of life and mobility. Key recommendations are proposed, such as improving urban infrastructure through the installation of ramps and proper signage, as well as implementing ongoing training programs for transportation staff to foster inclusive attitudes. Additionally, it advocates for a review and strengthening of existing legislation regarding mobility and accessibility, emphasizing the importance of consulting people with disabilities in the design of public policies. The research suggests incorporating accessible technology to facilitate access to and use of public transportation. Through these initiatives, the aim is to promote equitable and dignified mobility, ensuring the right of all individuals to fully participate in urban life.
