They respond directly to the need to analyze emerging cultural processes at a geographical level, considering the complexity of the cultural field and its relation to the design and evaluation of public policies. The objective of this essay is to analyze the state of observatories of cultural and creative industries in the Latin American space, its scope and challenges in accordance with the realities of growth and empowerment of this sector in national and regional economies. For the development of the work, the bibliographic and normative review and reports of international organizations that allowed theoretically systematizing the topic were considered. The fundamental conclusions allow to point out the insufficient number of observatories, the lack of clarity in their objectives and scope, and the discontinuity in the work of many of them than still permeates the regional scenario as problematics that must be overcome. |
