Summary:The following article aims to review the state of the art of the trend followed by the Sharing Economy, Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Ecuador. This argumentative essay tries to analyze the evolution of innovation and entrepreneurship in the local environment, particularly in the generation of startups or digital platforms that mark a disruption within the traditional business market. Despite being a country with a high level of entrepreneurship in its younger population, they are created out of necessity rather than opportunity, causing an increase in the probability of entrepreneurship failure in the short term. In addition, it is intended to enter traditional sectors where there may be an oversupply of products and services. The new Organic Law on Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims to promote an innovative culture and also seek alternative financing mechanisms for the entrepreneur. Strengthening public programs and budgets to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, in addition to articulating alliances between the public sector, private companies and academia, becomes essential to improve the global innovation ranking, where Ecuador lags behind in relation to the countries of the region.
