| סיכום: | Nonverbal autism is a condition that affects a significant percentage of people on the autism spectrum, limiting their ability to develop spoken language. This condition represents a considerable challenge, both for the person who suffers from it and for their families, caregivers and professionals who work with them. The absence of functional verbal language does not mean a lack of communication; in fact, these individuals may have many things to say, but they need tools and strategies that enable them to do so effectively. This is where the Augmentative and Alternative Communication System (AACS) comes in, which offers a variety of methods to help nonverbal people express their needs, thoughts, and emotions. |
