Through theoretical and comparative analysis with regulations from Argentina and Uruguay, the need to include control mechanisms in Ecuador was identified. Survey and interview results revealed that 66% of respondents believe that child support is not used exclusively for minors, and 98% state that the absence of accountability generates conflicts. The implementation of periodic reports, supervised digital systems, and mediation processes is proposed. It is concluded that these measures would strengthen transparency and compliance with the best interests of the child. A legislative reform and effective supervision strategies are recommended. |

La falta de supervisión ha generado conflictos entre los progenitores y pone en riesgo el bienestar de los menores. A través del análisis teórico y comparativo con normativas de Argentina y Uruguay, se evidenció la necesidad de incluir mecanismos de control en Ecuador. Los resultados de encuestas y entrevistas revelaron que el 66% de los encuestados considera que la pensión no se usa exclusivamente para los menores y el 98% afirma que la ausencia de rendición de cuentas genera conflictos. Se propone la implementación de reportes periódicos, sistemas digitales supervisados y procesos de mediación. Se concluye que estas medidas fortalecerían la transparencia y el cumplimiento del interés superior del niño.
