Тойм:The objective of this research was to analyze the impact that motivation has on the learning process of students enrolled in the Unified General Baccalaureate (BGU) in the "Province of Imbabura" Educational Unit to propose motivational strategies that enhance their interest in learning. These students show little interest in acquiring new learning and skills, lack of motivation to attend and participate in face-to-face classes, and poor study habits, which means an increase in absenteeism and school dropouts. The methodological design was thought from a mixed approach; that involves quantitative and qualitative elements. Where a descriptive, non-experimental investigation was carried out; in which the Rector of the Educational Unit and the psychologist responsible for the DECE were interviewed, in addition the 17 teachers were surveyed, also, the 17 students of the 3rd BGU were evaluated with the Motivational Assessment Questionnaire of the Learning Process (EMPA). The main results showed that teachers have a medium-high knowledge about motivational strategies, but they rarely apply them in their lesson plan, however, the students stated that they enhance their learning better if the motivation is intrinsic. In other words, with adolescence and the expectations of having an adult life, students could reduce their desire to learn, because they consider that academic knowledge will not be useful to them in their day-to-day life. Finally, as a solution to the problem, the Proposal was designed: Curiosity to learn! promoting motivation in learning to improve their interest in the teaching-learning process through playful and self-motivational activities for students making an outline of its own Motivational Project, in addition to training teachers on the importance of motivation and the use of motivational strategies in the classroom.
