The technique used to assess self-esteem was a psychometric test and its instrument was the scale of Lucy Reidl's self-esteem and to assess academic performance the student's report cards were used. In this way, the data and results were obtained, concluding that there is no correlation between self-esteem and academic performance. |

In this way, the data and results were obtained, concluding that there is no correlation between self-esteem and academic performance.El propósito de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre autoestima y rendimiento académico de 33 estudiantes de tercero de bachillerato paralelo “A” de la Unidad Educativa “Amelia Gallegos Díaz” de la cuidad de Riobamba, dado que la autoestima es de gran importancia para el desarrollo del ser humano esta investigación será de gran aporte para los involucrados ya que podremos definir si existe dicha relación entre estas dos variables , metodológicamente el trabajo investigativo corresponde a un estudio no experimental de tipo transversal, por nivel de investigación es de tipo descriptivo y correlacional. La técnica utilizada para valorar la autoestima fue una prueba psicométrica y su instrumento fue la escala de Autoestimación de Lucy Reidl y para valorar el rendimiento académico se utilizó las boletas de calificaciones de los estudiantes.
