In the city of Riobamba the National University of Chimborazo has made numerous sports events, for our research we have chosen as the population of this research to organize the II National Sports Games University Students and Polytechnics applying the PDCA Cycle / DEMING Circle for continuous improvement. The present investigation focused on the variable of the PDCA cycle, as a general objective to determine the effects of the application of the PDCA Cycle in the organization of the II National Sports Games University Students and Polytechnics. The present research was carried out through a field research design. The subjects of the investigation are the technicians and athletes of the participating universities and polytechnics. As an instrument of data collection, a survey was applied to the different technicians and participating athletes. According to the obtained results we can identify that the application of the PDCA cycle in the organization of sporting events is positive since in a short time we were able to deal with the organization thanks to the four essential steps that must be carried out in a systematic way to achieve the Continuous improvement, understood as such, to the continuous improvement of the quality (reduction of errors, increase of Efficacy, Efficiency, solution of problems, prevention and elimination of potential risks). The participating universities and polytechnics had to face new rules and establish themselves to the norms established according to the organization previously planned months ago and carried out in the month of July that lasted 5 days, minimized the problems normally found in an organization That does not use preventive measures to avoid the recurrence of problems found in the different organizations of sporting events. It is recommended to the different Sports Entities that the organization of sporting events, apply this elementary methodological process of the cycle of Deming that is integrated to its work team, the planning and objectivity in the process of the realization of a sport event and to solve The problems and to have a continuous improvement in the time to realize an event.
