Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | The community of Santa Lucía de Chuquipogio is located near the Chimborazo volcano, with a unique geographical position, this is the strategic place for climbing up the Chimborazo and Carihuairazo snowcapped mountains as well as going to the famous ice mines located in Chimborazo; besides this, there is a women association called Visión Futura which promotes and strengthens the community tourism in the area. As an alternative, the community tourism of Santa Lucía de Chuquipogio, Guano, will be complemented with the creation of the Cultural Interpretation Center with the purpose of enhancing the lifestyle of its habitants in order to preserve and promote its intangible cultural heritage. The socio-economic diagnosis, the environmental, political, institutional and tourist conditions, the intangible patrimony tourist inventory were diagnosed based on primary and secondary information; an analysis of tourist offer and demand was also carried out. From the surveys, 89% of visitors suggest the implementation of a Cultural Interpretation Center. |
