Turismo Educativo y Producto Turístico en la parroquia Cebadas, cantón Guamote, provincia de Chimborazo

The aim of this research is to establish the connection between educational tourism and the tourist industry in Cebadas parish, Guamote canton, Chimborazo province. The research methodology used was documentary and correlational, with a non-experimental study design. The investigation consists of two stages; the first, through the use of surveys addressed to 136 students enrolled in the period 2023 1S, of the Tourism career of the National University of Chimborazo and dimensions of: tourist motivation, ancestral knowledge and academic exchange were evaluated and the second, through surveys directed to 176 heads of family residing in the center of the parish of Cebadas, focusing on aspects such as: tourist services, tourist resources and infrastructure, through the analysis of information it was evidenced that 97.4% of respondents consider that it is convenient to structure educational tourism due to its ability to combine tourism with learning and education. Through the verification of hypotheses, it was shown that there is no relationship between educational tourism and the tourist product, which is why it proposes the implementation of an educational tourism program that consists of three educational projects, whose objective is to provide visitors with an enriching experience that allows them to learn, enjoy and learn about the cultural and natural wealth of the place.
