Lisää tagi | Yhteenveto: | This study aims to understand how the industrial infrastructure of Ecuacerámica interacts with the city to propose a future urban and architectural intervention that solves the problems present in the analysis area. Through an urban and architectural exploratory process, it will seek to determine the relevance of the industrial image of Ecuacerámica for the city and examine the industry's difficulties when operating in a residential area close to educational infrastructures. The investigation structured in four chapters. First, the importance of keeping the industrial image alive in cities will be addressed, thus facilitating various intervention strategies. In the second chapter, a detailed urban and architectural analysis of the study area will be carried out, allowing us to understand how an industry of this magnitude integrated into the urban fabric, in addition to identifying the problems that arose from this coexistence, the same ones that they will be considered essential to determine that the operation of the industry should cease. The third chapter will represent a crucial point since it will decide what will happen to all the industrial infrastructure. Intervention strategies will be proposed to maintain the industrial image but with a different approach that implies transforming the closed sector of the industry into an ample public space, the same one linked to cultural, educational, sports, corporate, commercial, and leisure activities. This proposal will seek to generate dynamism and create a new area of social cohesion in the city of Riobamba, recovering a sizeable green environment, which suffered considerable deterioration over time and increasing pollution. |
