Izvleček:The present research work entitled "The Doman Method in the Process of Reading and Writing in High School Children of the CreCer Center of the City of Riobamba" had as its primary objective to determine the process of teaching and learning of the Doman method in the development of reading and writing in high school children of the CreCer Center. The methodology used in this project was qualitative; the design used was non-experimental because no variable was manipulated; it was fundamental and field research. A sample of 10 high school children was obtained to carry out this research. To collect relevant data, an observation sheet was used to record behaviors and significant events related to the readingwriting process. In addition, a survey was conducted among the teachers to gather valuable information about their experience and perspectives about the Doman method. The results obtained from this research provide a solid basis for understanding the individual and collective needs of children in terms of their literacy proficiency. These findings will be a clear starting point for implementing appropriate pedagogical strategies to foster children's advancement and progress in this critical area.
