Crynodeb:Preeclampsia in pregnant adolescents presents unique challenges and specific considerations due to physiological and emotional immaturity. A condition characterized by high blood pressure and damage to organs such as kidneys and liver may occur during pregnancy, highlighting the need for appropriate interventions to protect the health of the pregnant woman. Therefore, the research on the laboratory tests used in diagnosing preeclampsia in juvenile pregnancy aimed at specifying which laboratory testing is used in diagnosing preeclampsia in adolescent pregnant women at the Riobamba General Educational Hospital. Therefore, this work used a correlational, non-experimental field, retrospective, and transversal descriptive methodology with a quantitative approach. A matrix in Excel was used for data handling. The study population included 153 patients, of whom 20 adolescent women under 19 years of age who were pregnant with symptoms of preeclampsia were selected. Research on laboratory tests obtained the main results that the blood biometry, which highlights the count of platelets hemoglobin equally in the area of chemical examination, includes creatinine, glucose, urea, and protein in the urine within the pathologies associated with preeclampsia in adolescents is hypertension, anemia and urinary tract infection Hellp syndrome, birth bleeding. In conclusion, these tests are accompanied by signs and symptoms such as edema, abdominal pain, headache, emesis, and blurred vision. These are essential for determining preeclampsia in conjunction with laboratory tests.
