Determinantes del Desempleo Juvenil en la Ciudad de Riobamba, año 2021

ABSTRACT: The objective of this research is to identify the determinants of youth unemployment in the city of Riobamba, year 2021, from the study of the analysis of deterministic variables such as: gender, age, marital status, educational level, head of household and experience, taking into account how these variables affect unemployment. To achieve this end, field information was collected from the variables through a survey form that was carried out on 380 people from the city of Riobamba, who were between 18 and 29 years old. To find the causality of the determinants of youth unemployment, an econometric model of binary logistic regression was developed, which concluded that youth unemployment affects more young people at an early age who do not have work experience to be able to work in the labor market, or those who do not be heads of household and have no responsibility in their home. The investigation is divided into three chapters. Chapter I refers to the theoretical foundation on the labor market; and specifically, about youth unemployment. Chapter II shows the methodology, type, design and research techniques used in data collection. Chapter III concerns the results obtained, which allowed identifying the determinants of youth unemployment in Riobamba city 2021 KEY WORDS: Unemployment, Youth, Logit model, Labor market
