總結:ABSTRACT: This study analyzed the impact of ergonomic aspects on professionals in the dental area, finding that there is a high rate of problems associated with poor posture while performing their daily practice, the main factor being that ergonomics is not taken into account from their training as students in universities, directly affecting the quality of life of the professional, with conditions ranging from stress to the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders. The present literature review was prepared with the purpose of expanding knowledge on ergonomic principles in dental care. A literature search was conducted, extracted from the databases of PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar, using exclusion and inclusion criteria and quality indicators such as the average citation count (ACC) and impact factor of the journal that publishes the article through Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR). It was found that the dental profession has a high risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders, mainly affecting the back, neck and shoulders; the most common syndrome in dentists is reported to be carpal tunnel syndrome, these pains cause a decrease in the quality of life of the professional, low productivity and in many cases cause early retirement from clinical practice. Each one of them is associated with bad positions in the field of care and ergonomic positions at work. Key words: ergonomics, disorders, occupational health, postures.
