Las fiestas religiosas y su impacto en la situación económica de los pobladores de la parroquia de Sibambe, cantón Alausí, provincia de Chimborazo, año 2017–2017.

Sibambe parish holds some legends and traditions which are part of its historical heritage. All of them are transmitted from a generation to generation. There are many religious celebrations such as: Carnival, Easter, the Day of the Death, Christmas; however, there is a very well-known celebration which distinguishes among the mentioned ones due to its catholic faith. It is Saint James´ holiday. It is celebrated every single 25th. Many of Saint James´ devotees come on their best horses in order to imitate and receive grace from their Holy Patron. They stay many days there and celebrate happily by playing some: local bullfighting, rooster-fighting, dancing, horseracing, and mass. Some devotees load and escort their saint mostly walking on the main streets meanwhile others accompany him by riding horses on a parade. The general objective of this research was to determine the generated economic impact under religious fests over Sibambe parish population. Alausi canton, Chimborazo province 2016-2017 year. Methodologically, it is a non-experimental research since it has a social and qualitative approach. The types of research were: literature review and field research. Gathering information techniques were surveys and interviews which included a variety of analysis and interpretation procedures for achieving the final conclusions.
