Shrnutí:The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of folk dance as a form of anti-stress therapy for students in the seventh semester of the Pedagogy of Arts and Humanities degree at the National University of Chimborazo in 2024. This study aims to support and enhance their academic development by mitigating stress associated with the teaching-learning process. The specific objectives include diagnosing the students' perceived stress levels before participating in folk dance sessions, conducting folk dance workshops, analyzing the influence of these workshops on reducing stress levels and proposing recommendations for effectively integrating folk dance as anti-stress therapy into the curriculum. The document is organized into five chapters. Chapter three covers the methodology, which is descriptive in scope and uses a pre-experimental research design. A questionnaire was administered to 26 seventh-semester students as the data collection technique. Chapter four presents the results and discussion, indicating a significant reduction in stress levels across several aspects following participation in the folk dance workshops. The final chapter includes conclusions and recommendations, suggesting the training of specialized instructors and establishing a continuous evaluation and monitoring system to optimize the therapeutic effects of the workshops
