Estudio y Diseño del Sistema de Agua Potable para la comunidad El Cármen, parroquia el Dorado, cantón Francisco de Orellana, Provincia de Orellana

The community named El Carmen is located at a distance of 19 km from Francisco de Orellana Canton province of Orellana; in this population there is no a system of drinkable water supply. In addition, its inhabitants are at risk of acquiring disease by drinking untreated water. It is schedule to conduct the study and design of water system, to contribute to the social, economic and tourist development of the population. Fifty-two surveys performed in this study, one for each home to get necessary information for this project design, other main activities were topographic survey of the entire community, inspection of the source of raw water supply and sampling for physical, chemical, bacteriological analysis. To meet the objectives of the project proceed to calculate the following parameters: design population, water supply, design flows, hydrological and hydraulic study of the basin. After obtaining the different design parameters acquisition a piece of filter bed raised, a pumping station to send water to a conventional treatment plant that has aeration processes, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection. Drinking water is going to water by a pumping station to the storage tank 40 m3 located at the highest point of the community. The distribution network is open, gravity, with PVC pipe.
