Crynodeb:The research project was developed in “CAPODARCO Foundation” in Penipe, from June to November 2016. The objective of the project was to analyze post-traumatic stress and resilience with a sample of 11 participants in ages between 35 to 60 years old foundation residents. In the research was used non-experimental and cross-sectional, field, bibliographic design and the level of research was descriptive. The psychological tests were used for data collection: “Severity scale of the posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms” which allowed identifying that there is posttraumatic stress in the participants, and “Wagnild and Young resilience scale” which allowed knowing the resilience level in the participants. After application and tabulation the results were: in the “Severity scale of the posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms” the 91% from the sample not have posttraumatic stress (presenting minimal scores in the symptomatology), and the 9% have delayed posttraumatic stress. In the “Wagnild and Young resilience scale” the 91%have high resilience, and the 9% have moderate resilience. In conclusion there is a low rate of posttraumatic stress and moderate to high levels of resilience
