Tóm tắt:The application of PECS System (Picture Exchange Communication MMethod) is a major contribution to special education because through this investigation it has been seen that children of First-Year of Basic Education had problems in the development of their comprehensive communication, as they had difficulty expressing and communicating ideas, therefore is had seen the need to incorporate this system which is of great importance, since it is necessary to work on the skills of children with intellectual disabilities through identification exercises and discrimination of images, vocabulary acquisition, training phrases that capture their attention, giving the opportunity to strengthen the skills needed to develop comprehensive communication the same that will be useful for them to interact effectively with others. The research was made taking into consideration the needs of students, to stimulate their learning. The study population is made up of a total of 12 students, taking into account that teaching is individualized and the population is not extensive so we decided to work with all of it. A quasi-experimental, bibliographic and field study was conducted, using the most relevant research methods, for data collection the technique of observation was used, through a record card. Subsequently the data collected to be presented in tables and graphs are tabulated. It is demonstrated the acceptance of the hypothesis by using statistical test. As a result of the application it can be expressed that thanks to all the teacher , children and parents there a more effective communication ocurred. Therefore the application of PECS system has been a very significant contribution in view of which the use of this material with other students is recommended for being useful to improve the comprehensive communication in Children of First Year of Basic Education with children with intellectual disabilities.
