Samenvatting:This investigation tread about topic “Emocional Intelligence in the students of the Education, Humanities and Technology Sciencies Faculty of the National University of Chimborazo. Riobamba March – July. 2017”, this is a subject of great importance becuase similar investigationd has not been carried out and on the other hand this importance is due to the fact that “E.I” today has become in a necessary task in the educational field to help develop evolutionary and socio – emocional of the students, mainly of the study population.Emotional Intelligence according to Salovey and Mayer (1990), is the ability to manage feelings and emotions, discriminate between them and use the knowledge to direct one´s thoughts and actions. A non experimental desing was worked, the methods used were Deductive – Inductive and Analytical – Synthetic, the type of investigation was Transversal and Fiel, the level of investigation was descriptive, the type of investigation was descriptive. The simple was twenty eight students. The TMMS test – 24 by Fernández and Berrocal was applied, it was structured by 24 tems, and it consists of three key dimensions of E.I with 8 items each one of them: Perception, Comprehesion and Regulation Emotional. After the analysis and interpretation of data, it concluded that, referring to the three dimensions, the most students are in an adequate level of Emotional Intelligence.
