| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | ABSTRACT Chronic pain represents a complex situation, not only medical but psychological and mental, negatively altering the lifestyle of the same and their family, social and work environment. For this reason, a systematic review was prepared to determine the main nursing interventions, faced with this diagnosis; taking as reference the adverse events mentioned by the authors, and the actions to provide greater comfort to the patient. The information collected documents published in electronic databases such as: Scielo, PubMed, Elsevier, Dialnet and Redalyc; in addition to information from national and international organizations, published in the period 2017-2022. 72 publications were used for the respective analysis, which addressed nursing interventions, determining that the main adverse events in the prolonged administration of opioid drugs highlight their affectation at the neurological, gastrointestinal and psychological levels. The main actions were established, according to the criteria of the different reviewed authors, and related to the NIC (Nursing Interventions Classification) taxonomy. The most relevant interventions correspond to care during and after drug administration; as well as the timely recognition of possible adverse events. Finally, it was concluded that nursing care is fundamental, because it has been documented that a large number of patients abandoned treatment, or had the perception that it harmed them instead of helping them. In most studies, the patient's family environment was not included, explaining the action and possible adverse events of the medication. Keywords: nursing care, opioid, chronic pain, adverse event |
