Izvleček: | ABSTRACT This research will proceed to analyze the efficacy of the ELTGOL respiratory therapy technique in patients with bronchiectasis. This research was through an exhaustive review of bibliography, scientific articles, and university repositories. Bronchiectasis is a respiratory disease characterized by the abundant production of secretions, hyperinflation, inflammation, and dilation of the airways. The application of respiratory physiotherapy with airway clearance techniques such as ELTGOL in our area is not well known. Because of the insufficient updated information on bibliographic matters, it was possible to collect 90 scientific articles. According to the assessment of the scale of PEDro and the exclusion criteria, they were discarded for the investigation. The databases used for this study were: WordWideSciencie, Scielo, Scorpus, European Journal Respiratory, PubMed, PEDro, Scienciedirect, and Cochrane. The collection of the articles was from 2005 to 2020. Exclusively only 35 articles were appropriate for this study given that they met a score equal to or greater than 6 according to the PEDro scale, these articles are in different languages such as: French, Chinese, Korean, Catalan, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and English, with little updated information in Spanish; this research aims to demonstrate the efficacy of the ELTGOL technique in patients with bronchiectasis. After the investigation was concluded after the respective discussion, the proposed objective was achieved, that the ELTGOL technique favors the elimination of secretions both in the short and long term, improves pulmonary ventilation, reduces exacerbations, and improves the quality of life in patients with bronchiectasis.
