Shrnutí:ABSTRACT: Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) has aroused great interest in the scientific community due to its prevalence in psychological distress. This research aimed to analyze the psychological consequences at an affective, behavioral, and cognitive level in victims of child sexual abuse; these symptoms were classified into short and long-term. The research was carried out using a quantitative approach based on a bibliographic design based on conceptual, theoretical data, with a sample of 45 scientific documents qualified with the Critical Review Form-Quantitive Studies (CRF-QS) instrument. Among the most relevant short-term symptoms are anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder, which affect interpersonal relationships and academic performance; on the other hand, in the long term, depression, anxiety, anorexia, bulimia, and affectations in social skills, which trigger school dropout. It was identified that these spheres originate from three different factors: thought, emotion, and behavior, which causes these levels to interact with each other. Consequently, it is crucial that children from an early age receive sexual education and that parents have knowledge on how to recognize warning signs in their children so that if they are detected as victims of ASI, imm
