“Calidad de vida en el paciente adulto y adulto mayor con diabetes mellitus e hipertensión arterial Punin- Bellavista 2017”.

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) and Arterial Hypertension(HT) represent pathologies of increasing incidence in both adults and older adults. The objetive was to describe the dimensions of qualite of life in the adult and elderly patients diagnosed with DM and HT, atended at the Health Centers og “Punin” and “Bellavista”of the city of Riobamba, in the period between a cross-sectional,observational, cross-sectional, and field-based study was conducted through a non- probabilistic sampling of the “intentional or cohabitation” type, 64 adults and elderly adults with DM and HTA with ages equal or superior to 20 yeras, were used methods of the theoretical level,such as: historical-logical, inductive-deductive, theoretical.practical, analytical-synthetic and logical-abstract.As a technique for data collection, a closed questionnaire called “Quality of Life Scale and Patient Satisfaction” was used, taken from: C. Peñacoba et al, 2004- Adapted By K. Figueredo et al. 2008, 2017. This instrument will allow to describe the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of the patients in the study simple; As well as the dimensions of quality of life and satisfaction affected in them. The population studied was 64 patient with ages equal or superior to 20 yeas. In the Bellavista health center, the study population consisted of 35 patient with these diseases, with a prevalence of patient with Dm of 31% and patients with HTA of 68,58% . In the Health subcentre of Punin the study population was 29 patients, the prevalence of patients with DM is 27.59% and the aptient with HTA is 72.41%. Within the dimensions of the quality of life they emphasize are: the changes that the disease has caused and the changes in the carácter or behavior with the disease.
