| Streszczenie: | The research work entitled “Codman exercises in the treatment of shoulder injuries at the Santa Rosa Health Center” was carried out with a population of 25 patients of both genders. The objective was to determine the effect of the Codman exercises in order to increase the joint range. The level of the research is descriptive since it describes the clinical phenomenon studied and applied by the intervention to solve the problem. It is quantitative since the numerical data will be analyzed to give a result. It has a field design since it was carried out in the Santa Rosa Health Center, and the instrument used is the clinical history. The tests to be used are the visual analogical pain scale, the goniometric test, and the Dawbarn sign and for the data tabulation, SPSS software of descriptive statistics were used. The results of the statistics during the six weeks of research demonstrated that subacromial bursitis is more frequent in the female gender 64% that in the male gender 36%, being the housewife occupation 44% the most affected. Concerning pain, 100% of the population presented a very severe grade of 7-9. After the intervention, it decreased to moderate pain of 3-4 and severe pain of 5-6. The goniometry was checked by hypothesis testing; the normality of the data distribution was demonstrated with the Shapiro Wilk test, indicating that the Codman exercises positive results in the study. |
