Summary:Testicular cancer is a common malignant neoplasm in men between 15 and 34 years of age. It represents 1% of malignant tumors in this genre according to studies. The present bibliographic review aimed to develop an analysis of the sociodemographic and clinical characterization of testicular cancer under a descriptive approach. Data, characteristics, and other important research features were identified that contributed to the development of the research. A sample study included 22 investigations that addressed sociodemographic and clinical characterization of testicular cancer published in high impact indexed journals, such as: SciELO, Scopus, PubMed, Elservier, Dialnet; as well as urology and oncology books under inclusion criteria and exclusion. The results obtained showed that testicular cancer clinically occurs in young patients, frequently in men between 15 and 34 years of age, but it can occur at any age. It is characterized because it tends to affect white men compared to black men. Those ones of high socioeconomic class show twice the incidence compared to those ones of low level, while the strata of high level of education show an increasing gradient. The different authors consulted agree on the guidelines established worldwide related to testicular cancer in clinical, diagnosis and treatment issues. So, it was concluded that it is important to follow the guidelines determined in each of the books consulted in order related to this topic.
