| description | The present research work was carried out in the Educational Unit "Jaime Roldós Aguilera", it was identified in the students of the baccalaureate a low knowledge for the resolution of problems of mathematical logical reasoning, numerical, attention and concentration that was evidenced during the development of the preprofessional practices, it was raised as a general objective to analyze the incidence of the development of the mathematical logical thinking in the students of the B.G.U of the Educational Unit "Jaime Roldós Aguilera", in the period May–September 2021. The independent variable was determined: mathematical logical thinking and the dependent variable: academic performance. The methodology used in the research was non-experimental, descriptive and field, because the observation occurred directly in the institutional context. To collect the data, an objective test was applied regarding the components of seriation, classification, inclusion and interpretation of numbers applied to the study sample, which corresponds to 70 students, 31 men representing 44.3% and 39 women equivalent to 55.7%. After the entire research process was carried out, the results that were found show that most students have a developed average level of mathematical logical thinking which has a detrimental impact on the academic performance of the students. Strategies such as problem solving, PBL that include playful, representative and communicative activities foster the skills of mathematical logical thinking. |

Strategies such as problem solving, PBL that include playful, representative and communicative activities foster the skills of mathematical logical thinking.El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en la Unidad Educativa “Jaime Roldós Aguilera”, se identificó en los estudiantes del bachillerato un bajo conocimiento para la resolución problemas de razonamiento lógico matemático, numérico, atención y concentración que se evidenciado durante el desarrollo de las practicas preprofesionales, se planteo como objetivo general analizar la incidencia del desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático en los estudiantes del B.G.U de la Unidad Educativa “Jaime Roldós Aguilera”, en el periodo mayo–septiembre 2021. La metodología utilizada en la investigación fue de tipo no experimental, descriptiva y de campo, debido a que la observación se dio directamente en el contexto institucional. Para recolectar los datos se aplicó una prueba objetiva referente a los componentes de seriación, clasificación, inclusión e interpretación de números aplicada a la muestra de estudio, la cual corresponde a 70 estudiantes, 31 varones que representan el 44,3% y 39 mujeres que equivalen al 55,7%. Después de realizado todo el proceso de investigación se concluyó os resultados que se encontraron demuestran que la mayoría de los estudiantes tienen un nivel medio desarrollado del pensamiento lógico matemático lo cual incide perjudicialmente en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes.
