সংক্ষিপ্ত:The purpose of the research carried out is to analyze the quality of the community tourism service in the Santiago de Calpi Parish, Riobamba canton. It is a descriptive, scientific, inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic, and cross-sectional non-experimental design, which allowed determining the relationship of variables through the application of Likert scale surveys in a single time, therefore it was used the non-probabilistic convenience sample aimed at community tourism service providers of the Santiago de Calpi Parish, experts in the area of tourism for the quality variable analyzing components of tangible characteristics, processes, intangible qualities and aimed at tourism guides, clients, operators of tourism, travel agencies of Riobamba and Quito for the community tourist service variable considering components of accommodation, food and beverages, guidance, operation and intermediation, transportation, with data obtained from the application of instruments, the general and specific hypotheses were verified using the statistician Spearman's rho obtaining as a result that there is not a relationship between the variables. However, the situational diagnosis identified low quality of services, limited technical knowledge, limited tourism promotion, limited agreements with tour operators and travel agencies. For this reason, a proposal was developed related to the design of the quality management based on the characterization of procedures, records, documents, phases of the quality management system that contributes to the continuous improvement of community tourism
