Tóm tắt:Prior to the investigation of the problem, one of the main difficulties is prioritized with the third year students of basic education at the “Juan de Velasco” school, located in Riobamba city, province of Chimborazo, This originates the need to conduct a profound study that refers to "reading to develop linguistic intelligence", as this constitutes a problem in the learning process, where the theoretical framework plays an important role, the objectives and justification were stated; the theoretical framework presented and developed the variables; the methodological framework refers to the design and type of research used as a descriptive, exploratory and correlational, the study considered 32 students who represented the entire universe; the methods applied were the deductive, inductive and analytical; the technique applied was the observation and as an instrument the observation checklist to analyze and interpret the results. the respective conclusions and recommendations determined the need to design a guide called "Reading and learning is a pleasure" to solve the problem actively and creatively, with readings of easy application to develop the students´ linguistic intelligence and thus improve their problems of expression, retention, and understanding, factors that are essential to achieve the students´ linguistic intelligence.
