Sumari: | ABSTRACT: The objective of this research is to analyze the risk factors for postpartum depression in women treated at the Health Center type C Lizarzaburu, Riobamba 2021. This research was of a bibliographic and field type with a cross-sectional, non-experimental, and level design descriptive. The population consisted of 230 women and the sample of 80 women was obtained through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The psychometric instruments used were the Postpartum Depression Risk Factor Questionnaire and the Edinburgh Scale for Postnatal Depression. The questionnaire was created and validated by expert criteria. The results show that there is no prevalence of PPD in women treated at the Lizarzaburu Health Center, however, it is identified that 36.4% have symptoms of PPD. The most prevalent risk factors for PPD are sociodemographic factors; age, economic level, marital status, occupation, educational level, and economic dependence. According to the psychological factors, it was obtained that in the majority of the population there are excessive worry, irritability, and difficulties in concentrating. Regarding obstetric factors, there is a high prevalence of women with urinary/vaginal infections during pregnancy. As a final proposal, a psychoeducational guide was developed that aims to keep the population informed for the identification and prevention of the symptoms of postpartum depression. Keywords: risk factors, postpartum depression, mothers, puerperium. |
