Summary:The present research titled “Literature in emotional development in children aged 4 to 5 years from the “TESLA” initial and basic education school, city of Riobamba, period 2023”, the research was carried out with a qualitative approach; the same one that allowed us to work based on its qualities, taking into account the research design that was non-experimental since no variable was manipulated. Furthermore, this allowed us to carry out a field investigation because it took place at the scene of the events, its. The level of research was exploratory and descriptive, managing to carry out documentary and bibliographic research, which led to extracting information from books, articles, university repositories, among others related to the topic, leading to identifying the impact that children's literature has had on emotional development. For this, we worked with a population of 12 children, 6 girls and 6 boys from 4 to 5 years old at this level, the same observation technique was used, which resulted in valuing the different perspectives considered in the main aspects of children's literature. and the importance that this has in the emotional development of 4 and 5-year-old children of the Initial 2 level.
