Lasit fáddágilkoriid | Čoahkkáigeassu: | The current study focuses on a semantic examination of selected Juan Fernando Velasco songs to better understand how the rhetorical figures in their lyrics contribute to the creation of deep and polysemic meanings. The problem is that, in the expressive and semantic richness of the compositions that has not yet been explored from a linguistic approach despite the popularity of the music of Juan Fernando. The main objective is to analyze the representation of rhetorical figures in the selected songs, addressing how these rhetorical strategies shape the meaning and interpretation of his lyrics. The methodology employed is qualitative and is based on a detailed textual analysis, identifying and classifying the rhetorical figures according to their semantic function and their contribution to the artist poetic narrative. The results reveal how the compositions of the singer songwriter manage through the use of metaphors, similes and other figures, to convey complex emotions and experiences that allow multiple interpretations. Likewise, by understanding this interaction between rhetoric and semantics, the author's ability to connect with the listener in a deep and meaningful way will be highlighted, enriching the analysis of his work from a literary and cultural perspective. |
