Summary:The present graduation project entitled "DESIGN OF THE SYSTEM FOR THE SUPPLY OF DRINKING WATER OF THE MANGACUZANA COMMUNITY, CANTON CAÑAR, PROVINCE OF CAÑAR" consists to carry out the design of the system for the supply of drinking water complying with the standards parameters stipulated in the design in force, technical and environmental specification, thus improving the living conditions of the population of the project area, since currently they do not have an efficient system technically designed. The methodology of this research was carried out in the field, with the socialization and compilation of socio-economic information through surveys, the topography of the area, a sampling of water for physical, chemical and bacteriological analysis. In the work of the cabinet, the following activities were carried out: Evaluation for social and economic systematization to 72 families with a total initial population of 280 inhabitants, the useful life of the system was designed for 25 years thus having a final population of 365 inhabitants. Topographic data processing was done using Civil 3D software; In terms of designs and calculations the system will be captured and driven by pumping from the station to the storage tank of 15 m3 located at the highest level of the community, for its later distribution through open network, with gravity, with pipe PVC of different diameters. All the results were validated with the EPANET computer software ideal for hydraulic modeling, complying with pressures, maximum speeds and minimums determined in the "DESIGN STANDARD OF DRINKING WATER SYSTEM, AND DISPOSAL OF LIQUID WASTE FOR POPULATIONS OF MORE THAN 1000 INHABITANTS AND LESS THAN 1000 INHABITANTS OF ECUADOR”. The work was complemented by calculation of volumes of work, analysis of unit prices, reference budget, valued work schedule, technical specifications, design and an environmental management plan.
