| Riassunto: | The present work estimated the loss of soil through the application of the USLE model, in the area of the Puela river micro-watershed, through GIS tools; the methodology relates factors of rain erosivity (R), length and grade of the slope (LS), soil erodibility (K), vegetation cover (C) and soil management (P).Through the supervised classification of land uses (factor C), 5 cover classes obtained, consecutively for factor K, field trips made to recognize the area and collect samples, in which the texture and texture , analyzed in situ. Subsequently, work was carried out in the laboratory with procedures for organic matter and structure, the extraction of precipitation data for the R factor was carried out through the GPM mission and data processing, as well as that of the P and LS factors, the ArcGIS software used. which allowed generating interpretive maps of each factor, where the erosion of each one is represented, finally the relationship of the factors established by applying the general formula (A=R*K*L*S*C*P).The application of the model allowed us to demonstrate that there are slight erosive processes in most of the area of the micro-basin, the moderate range is present in the northwest area of Puela and El Altar, where there are human settlements and economic-productive activities, as well as the strong range centered in the northwestern part and on the slopes of the Tungurahua and Altar volcanoes due to wear by natural soil processes. |
