Sumario:This investigation was carried out in the Educational Unit of the Millennium “Guano”, Guano Town, Matrix Parish, Province of Chimborazo; the objective is to determine how Plastic Arts Influences the development of the Artistic Expression of children of first grade of the Educational Unit of the “Guano” Millennium, Guano Town, Matrix parish, province of Chimborazo, academic period 2015-2016. For this, the problems that existed in the institution were identified, which served as a guideline for the present study; to this purpose the necessary bibliography was consulted that serves as a theoretical basis. The research has a non-experimental design; it is descriptive, correlational, field, analytical and bibliographic documentary, the level of research is exploratory. The population with which the research was carried out was 52 boys and girls to whom the observation sheet was applied through the technique of direct observation, which determines the urgent need to incorporate plastic arts as an active technique to develop artistic expression in children, giving teachers the Possibility of applying innovative activities based on exercises, both inside and outside the classroom. At the end of the research, it was affirmed that the plastic arts as a learning tool contributes to the development of the artistic expression, ensuring that everything researched and applied serves to strengthen children’s integral development.
