It produces and sells high-quality forestry products, complying with the characteristics of a resistant product with good finishes.The objective of this research project is to standardize the manufacturing process of wooden staves in the company Aserradero Moderno. Propose changes that contribute to an increase in productivity in the company. The project began with a visit to the process plant to observe and evaluate the current situation that allows us to know how the processing develops and identify possible shortcomings to which we can provide solutions through a proposal. An interview applied to the general manager of the company with the objective of gathering information about the current situation of the process. Through this evaluation, a non-establishment of the processing activities, the stationary stacking of processed units and a deficient work method for planing the wood were mainly identified. A work study was carried out on the process using tools such as process flow diagrams, analytical flowcharts, route diagrams and a time study. Changes were proposed that contribute to solving the identified shortcomings. With the application of a time study, it was found that the standard processing time for each wooden stave was 4 minutes and 23 seconds with a productivity of 13.70 staves produced per man-hour of work. Considering the changes proposed to solve the identified shortcomings, a standard time of 3 minutes and 58 seconds obtained for each stave processed and a productivity of 15.12 staves produced per man-hour of work.
