“Ausencia parental en la formación de la personalidad de los estudiantes de la unidad educativa “Capitán Edmundo Chiriboga”. Riobamba, Octubre 2017- Marzo 2018”

The paternal absence is one of the important factors in the personality of the students that is why the present investigation had as objective to determine the relation of the paternal absence in the formation of the personality of the adolescent. Methodologically it had a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, with a descriptive and correlational level, the population with which it worked was the students of the Educational Unit "Captain Edmundo Chiriboga" the sample was not probabilistic and intentional since it was worked with 30 students including 12 men and 18 women, the techniques used were the Survey and the Psychometric Test, the instruments were the Ah doc Questionnaire and the 16FP questionnaire, with the collection and collection of data the results were analyzed and interpreted, To conclude that there is a relationship between parental absence and students' personality, given that many times when not having a father figure, students have exercised a characteristic in their personality such as hardness, since they are people who face problems in the best way.
