| Özet: | All anthropogenic activities (human) generate environmental pollution, water pollution which is one of the biggest problems in the world. Demographic growth requires more resources; industrial activities without environmental responsibility, agricultural practices are those which deteriorate the quality of the vital liquid. In Ecuador has not given enough importance to the river pollution, few autonomous governments have emphasized on it, they are trying to avoid the deterioration of water bodies, exclusively in wastewater discharged into receiving bodies, for this reason its quality is reduced, in many of the major tributaries of Ecuador. This has encourage to determine the water quality of Nagsiche and Pumacunchi rivers, which are located between Saquisili and Salcedo towns in Cotopaxi province, and at the same time stablish alternatives to keep and improve the quality Water. This research was focus first to delimitate the two watersheds and determine pollution sources through field sampled points. To determine water quality, a monitoring plan was done during the months of May and June, for analysis of aquatic macroinvertebrates was sampled once a month and for Physical-chemical and microbiological analysis twice per month. The quality of the water was determined using the water quality index (ICA NSF) and biological indices ETP (Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera and Plecoptera) and the Andean Biological Index (ABI). Biological Indices employ aquatic macroinvertebrates who living at the bottom of rivers, lakes and lagoons. While the index (ICA NSF) employs 9: Physical-Chemical and Microbiological parameters (turbidity, nitrates, phosphates, pH, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, temperature, BOD 5 and fecal coliforms). They made us know the water quality of rivers Nagsiche and Pumacunchi and their propose alternatives. The alternatives established for the prevention and recovery of water quality are technical proposals, developed through this research. These were socialized in conjunction with the Central Saquisili Ecuadorian Agricultural Services (CSEA) to the authorities of the parishes that have influence with Nagsiche Pumacunchi and rivers. |
