Περίληψη:Introduction: palliative care, in combination with nursing taxonomies, is a problem to be solved in the care of chronic diseases. Objective: to relate the biological, psychological, and social dimensions affected in the study population, with the palliative nursing care described in the Clinical Practice Guidelines consulted and the NANDA, NOC, and NIC taxonomy. Methodology: a descriptive, quantitative and cross-sectional study was developed, in which we worked with the entire population made up of adults with a diagnosis of HT and DM, treated in the Operational Units of the Chambo-Riobamba Health District (N = 289), the guiding documents for palliative care in Ecuador, and the NANDA, NOC, and NIC taxonomy. Results: the application of biopsychosocial PC interventions, with the community and intersectoral scope, favor the control of arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and their risk factors. Conclusions: the biological, psychological, and social dimensions affected in the study population were related to the palliative nursing care described in the Clinical Practice Guidelines consulted and the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomy, which allowed recognizing the need for care from a systemic conception that favors the monitoring and control of arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus throughout the life cycle of the sick individual. Keywords: Taxonomy, care, biopsychosocial, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus.
