Examen especial al área de compras públicas en el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Cantonal de Gonzalo Pizarro, periodo 2022

The particular examination to the public procurement area in the Cantonal Decentralized Autonomous Government of Gonzalo Pizarro, period 2022, focuses on evaluating the efficiency, transparency, and legality of the acquisition processes of goods and services. This review aims to identify possible irregularities, improve existing procedures, and ensure the proper use of public resources. During the period above, various review and analysis activities were carried out, including collecting information on the responsibilities and functions of purchasing area personnel, as well as their perception of the transparency, efficiency, and legality of the processes. Areas of improvement are highlighted, such as periodic training on rules and regulations related to public procurement, internal coordination between departments, and the implementation of regular internal audits to verify compliance with regulations. Likewise, positive aspects were identified, such as the accessibility of information for all people and measures to prevent favoritism in the selection of suppliers. The project culminates with the formulation of conclusions and recommendations addressed to the corresponding department to strengthen management in the area of public procurement and guarantee transparency and legality in the acquisition processes of goods and services.
