Filatelia postal de la iconografía arquitectónica neoclásica de Riobamba

Graphic Design is found in all activities of the human beings and expressed thorough iconic, linguistic and chromatic codes that facilitate the interaction between sender and receiver for a specific group of people or target audience. The research oriented to the iconographic architectural neoclassical analysis, taking into account the cultural value of people who live in Riobamba city toward the architectural neoclassical analysis, taking into account the cultural value of people who live in Riobamba city towards the architectural culture, having information on the collection instruments of data such as interviews and surveys. Despite the awareness efforts many people do not value the heritage justifying both the importance and interest in the development of the creation of postage stamps through the philately that promotes to the buildings of Riobamba their iconographic elements that make up the facades. The creative process of the postage stamps is based on the choice of buildings selected for the iconographic study with neoclassical characteristics. The buildings are located in the historical center between the most important parks of the city such as the Maldonado Park and the Sucre Park. The selected buildings are the SRI building, the building of the place, the class with the greatest economic power of the time was settled. It was also considered the building of the Maldonado High School located in the Sucre Park. For the research process, the scientific method was used, it combines theory and practice in the development of postage stamp. In addition, the deductive – inductive method was used taking into account a type of exploratory research that has been carried out when the subject has been little explored and recognized. In conclusion, the postage stamp will be a great help to inform the public of the architectural cultural richness that Riobamba has and it supported in the development with the previous knowledge in the major of Graphic Design.
