Özet:The present work is entitled "Learning process in the development of gross motor skills in times of pandemic by COVID 19 in children of initial education 1 of the Benjamin Franklin school in the city of Riobamba period 2022", The purpose was to determine problem and the possible solution to the following question: How does it affect the learning process in the development of gross motor skills in times of the COVID 19 pandemic? Therefore, a general objective and several specific ones were proposed, this study is supported by the development of a theoretical framework. It was observed that there are similar investigations, but with different proposals, for which the application of a quantitative method of descriptive and documentary research was chosen. To carry it out, a sample of eight children was obtained through an observation sheet, which was analyzed and tabulated; where the need to implement recreational activities that help the development of gross motor skills was presented, giving the teacher different and innovative alternatives that could be implemented in the future. This work is of the utmost importance for the benefit of children, for this reason some activities that are related to the learning areas are attached; the same ones that can be implemented inside and outside the classroom in order to strengthen gross motor skills.
