La Fiesta del Pawkar Raymi en Villa la Unión desde el rescate Cultural e Histórico.

The thesis titled "The Pawkar Raymi Festival in Villa La Unión from a Cultural and Historical Perspective" investigates the Pawkar Raymi festival in Villa La Unión, focusing on its historical and cultural significance. The main objective is to analyze the cultural and historical aspects that frame this festival, with specific goals such as describing the cultural and historical expressions of Pawkar Raymi, defining its influence on local social actors, and determining its importance in the cantonal head. The methodology includes a qualitative and cross-sectional approach, using action research with the collaboration of the community and representatives of the Parish Gad (Local Government). Data collection techniques such as interviews and questionnaires are employed, focusing on older adults and Gad representatives. The results reveal that Pawkar Raymi is a deeply rooted festival in Villa La Unión, reflecting local history and culture. It is observed that, despite modern influences, the festival maintains its traditional essence. The findings emphasize the importance of the festival for community cohesion, cultural preservation, and economic development. The conclusions highlight the need to educate about the history of Pawkar Raymi, promote diverse community participation, and encourage cultural tourism. Implementation of strategies to ensure the continuity of the festival and harness its economic and cultural benefits is recommended.
