| סיכום: | This research aimed to determine the differences in anxiety levels between children from “Isidro Ayora Basic Education School” in the city area and "Patria Public Educational Unit" in the countryside area. Childhood anxiety is of great importance because of the negative impacts it has on the academic performance, self-esteem and social relationships of students. Childhood anxiety is the response of concern to real or imagined risk situations generating certain symptoms such as physical-mental disorders and destabilization. We worked with a quantitative approach with a non-probabilistic and intentional sample of 55 students between 6 and 7 years of age from the city and countryside context. The type of research was of field and correlational design. The instrument used was the Jhon Gillis Child Anxiety Questionnaire, structured by 20 dichotomous questions. After the analysis and interpretation of the data, it was concluded that the city school presents a higher level of anxiety with 37% of high anxiety compared to the countryside school with only 15%. However, most of the students are within the moderate and serious anxiety levels. |
