October 2017 - March 2018, theoretically we can indicate that assertiveness is the ability that the individual has to express his ideas, feelings, and desires in a friendly way without harming and altering the rights of the other people. Conflict management is a process by which a group of people seeks alternatives in order to reduce disagreement by investigating the possible causes that originated them. A qualitative approach was used with a non-experimental research design, the type of research was descriptive and correlational, for the transverse: time and the place: field and bibliography. The population was the students of the Unidad Educativa “Fernando Daquilema” with an intentional non-probabilistic sample of 67 students corresponding to 32 women and 35 males of tenth of GBE parallel “A” and the second of parallel baccalaureate “A” whose ages are between 16 years, as an instrument was applied the Coping Scale for Teenagers (CST) that reflects 18 coping strategies and the Multidimensional Assertiveness Scale (MAS) that consists of 45 questions, which contributed to reach the conclusion, that the assertiveness behaviors identified in the students that predominate is the indirect assertiveness, while in the use of strategies the one that stands out is the effort and be successful.
