Lasit fáddágilkoriid | Čoahkkáigeassu: | ABSTRACT The present entitled research work, Familiar Orientation Guide, for the performance and autonomy of adults with disabilities from MIES in the ancient town community of Alausí Chimborazo province in the period from October 2020 to march 2021, has the objective to design activities aimed at developing skills , to promote the performance, autonomy and quality of life of adults with disabilities. The research has a mixed approach. It is of a non-experimental type, since it does not refer to the study variables. The type of research according to the level is descriptive and ethnographic, because of the place, it is field, and , in relation to time , it is transversal , because it was done by a specific period of time , A survey was used as a technique, for data collection, and the questionnaire was used as its instrument, and the direct observation was also carried out, through observation cards , with 15 adults with disabilities and their parents or caregivers, from MIES institution, who are 15 too from The Pueblo Viejo Community. The most relevant results are, the 53% of caregivers, in caring for the elderly takes up to 4 hours, for 27% between 4 and 8 hours, in the study population there is no mental disability, the quality of life is regular, the knowledge of techniques or the use of techniques focused on development and autonomy is little. Thus, due to the difficulties presented, there is a lot of affectation in the mood of caregivers with negative feelings. Therefore, the guide was developed, which has activities for the three types of disabilities detected (intellectual, physical and sensory), focused on promoting autonomy and development, in order to facilitate the care of disabled people and try to insert them into household activities.
