Edmundo Chiriboga G." located in the city of Riobamba, in the academic period 2022-2023. To do this, a mixed methodology was used that allowed the collection of quantitative and qualitative data that were the fundamental bases for the study. The surveys were applied to 288 high school students who are between the ages of 15 and 17, in the same vein, the interviews were conducted with the authority of the Institution, a teacher, an analyst of the DECE Department and a mother. The design of non-experimental descriptive research was chosen because there was no manipulation of variables. The results within the research show that social networks maintain a correlation of significant impact in terms of the communicative interaction of young people, likewise, they show that the excessive use of networks causes emotional changes in students by altering their mode of intercommunication with the environment that surrounds them. In addition, results emerged in which it is evident that the language used by students on social networks affects their daily communication with society, due to the abbreviations that are generated by the young people themselves and that are understandable mainly in their social group. |
