总结:The objective of this research is to analyze the factors associated with family abandonment of older people and its impact on begging through a multidisciplinary approach and the collection of qualitative data. As a result, it was identified that the abandonment of older people could be caused by various factors, such as economic problems, family conflicts, a lack of knowledge and understanding, mental health problems and addictions, changes in the family structure, a lack of community support, a lack of values, and cultural and normative factors. These factors interact with each other and contribute to the vulnerability of older people, leading them to resort to begging as a way to survive. The family abandonment of older adults has a significant impact on their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Physically, they may experience a decreased quality of life, a lack of adequate medical care, and difficulty meeting their basic needs. Emotionally, they may feel lonely, sad, anxious, and depressed. Socially, they may suffer from isolation, loss of social connections, and stigma. These consequences, in turn, increase the risk that they will beg to seek support and meet their basic needs. It is crucial to address these issues through policies and programs that promote awareness, education, and awareness of the rights and needs of older people. In addition, measures must be implemented to guarantee their physical, emotional, and social well-being. By doing so, family abandonment and the incidence of begging among older people can be reduced, providing them with a better quality of life and an adequate supportive environment during their advanced stage. Promoting the active participation of older people in the community is essential, providing them with opportunities to share their knowledge, skills, and experiences. This not only allows them to stay socially involved but also helps to change negative perceptions towards old age and promotes a culture of respect and appreciation for older people.
