總結:The following research work is titled “Gender violence and suicidal ideation in women attending the First Reception Room of the Provincial General Teaching Hospital Riobamba, during the period of October 2015- March 2016”. The general objective of this study is to determine the influence of gender violence in the presence of suicidal ideation in women attending the First Reception Room of the Provincial General Teaching Hospital Riobamba, with a population of 50 women and a nonrandom sample corresponding to 16 women chosen by the investigator after applying the scale of suicidal ideation, taking into account the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. The research in quantitative and not experimental, the type of research is descriptive, in transversal field of study and the level of research was exploratory. The techniques and instruments of data collection that were used are as followed: Scale for Suicide Ideation (SSI) A.T. Beck, M. Kovacs, A. Weissman, used to quantify and assess suicidal thoughts and a survey to determine the type and the frequency of domestic violence on women attending the First Reception Room; the techniques for processing data were analyzed using basic statistics in Excel where the results were represented through charts and graphs. At the end of the investigation it was determine that 32% of women with gender violence have suicidal ideation and 68% do not. With the result of the investigation, the psychological intervention plan based on suicidal ideation in women with gender violence was designed, which aims to improve interventions with women in the First Reception Room.
